PPF Warranty Terms & Conditions

At Detailing Essentials , we stand firmly behind the quality of our Detail Max range of car care products and Paint Protection Film (PPF).

The products covered by these terms are manufactured to meet high quality standards and are warranted to be free from manufacturing defects subject to the warranty conditions, exclusions and claim requirements described below.

Customers may also explore our paint care products , coating and paint protection products and protection and sealants available through our online store.

1. PPF Warranty Coverage

This warranty covers qualifying manufacturing defects that may result in:

  • Discoloration
  • Cracking
  • Blistering
  • Delamination
  • Excessive colour change or yellowing
  • Permanent staining

Warranty coverage applies only when the defect is directly attributable to the manufacturing process .

Damage resulting from external factors, incorrect installation, improper maintenance or other exclusions described below is not considered a manufacturing defect under these terms.

2. Products Covered by the Warranty

Subject to the conditions contained in these Terms & Conditions, the warranty applies to the following products:

3. PPF Warranty Exclusions

This warranty does not cover damage or deterioration caused by:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage caused by road debris, stone chips or accidents
  • Scratches, swirl marks, watermarks or environmental fallout
  • Deliberate, accidental or negligent damage
  • Failure to follow recommended aftercare and maintenance instructions
  • Improper product storage or handling
  • Incorrect or faulty installation
  • Application on repainted vehicle panels
  • Application on non-clear-coated or otherwise unsuitable surfaces

Customers should follow the applicable product instructions, installation requirements and maintenance recommendations to help preserve product performance and warranty eligibility.

4. Installation & Usage Limitations

  • This warranty is valid only for non-commercial/private vehicles.
  • The warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.
  • Any deviation from the recommended installation guidelines may void the warranty.

Correct PPF Installation

Paint Protection Film should be installed according to the applicable installation instructions and only on surfaces considered suitable for PPF application.

Installation errors or application to unsuitable surfaces are not considered manufacturing defects under this warranty.

5. Warranty Remedy

During the applicable warranty period, Detailing Essentials reserves the right, at its sole discretion and at no additional cost, to:

  • Repair the affected product
  • Remove the affected product
  • Replace the affected product

These remedies apply where the product fails to perform because of a verified manufacturing defect and the claim otherwise complies with these PPF Terms & Conditions.

6. PPF Warranty Claim Process

To initiate a warranty claim, please complete the following steps:

  1. Contact our customer support team within 30 days from the date of delivery.
  2. Explain the problem clearly and provide relevant details about the affected product.
  3. Provide clear photographs or videos of the issue when requested.
  4. Provide valid proof of purchase.
  5. Provide the applicable warranty card.

7. Limitation of Liability

  • This warranty is the sole and exclusive warranty remedy available to the customer under these terms.
  • Detailing Essentials shall not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from product use or product failure, subject to applicable law.

8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These PPF Terms & Conditions are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India.

Subject to applicable mandatory legal requirements, jurisdiction shall be limited to Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India.

PPF Warranty FAQs

1. What does the Detailing Essentials PPF warranty cover?

The warranty covers qualifying manufacturing defects that may result in discoloration, cracking, blistering, delamination, excessive colour change or yellowing, and permanent staining. The issue must be directly attributable to the manufacturing process.

2. Does the warranty cover PPF yellowing?

Excessive colour change or yellowing may be covered when it is verified as a manufacturing defect and all other warranty conditions have been met.

3. Does the warranty cover PPF delamination?

Delamination may be covered when it is directly caused by a verified manufacturing defect. Delamination resulting from incorrect installation, unsuitable surfaces or other excluded causes is not covered.

4. Are scratches and stone chips covered by the PPF warranty?

No. Scratches, swirl marks, road debris damage, stone chips, accidents, watermarks and environmental fallout are listed as warranty exclusions.

5. Is PPF installed on a repainted panel covered?

No. Application on repainted panels is listed as an exclusion under these warranty terms.

6. Is the PPF warranty transferable to another owner?

No. The warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.

7. Does the PPF warranty apply to commercial vehicles?

No. Under these terms, the warranty is valid only for non-commercial or private vehicles.

8. What can void the PPF warranty?

The warranty may not apply where there has been incorrect installation, improper handling, failure to follow recommended aftercare, application to repainted or unsuitable surfaces, or another condition listed under the warranty exclusions.

9. How do I make a PPF warranty claim?

Contact Detailing Essentials customer support within 30 days from the date of delivery. Provide details of the issue, photographs or videos if requested, proof of purchase and the applicable warranty card.

10. What documents are required for a warranty claim?

You must provide valid proof of purchase and the applicable warranty card. Supporting photographs or videos may also be requested during claim assessment.

11. What happens if my warranty claim is approved?

For a verified manufacturing defect, Detailing Essentials may, at its sole discretion and at no additional cost, repair, remove or replace the affected product in accordance with these warranty terms.

12. Does incorrect PPF installation qualify for warranty coverage?

No. Incorrect or faulty installation is listed as a warranty exclusion, and deviation from recommended installation guidelines may void the warranty.

13. Which car care products are listed under these warranty terms?

The terms list Neutral Foam Shampoo, Ceramic Shampoo, All-Purpose Cleaner, Ceramic Ultra-Speed Wax, Glass Cleaner & Degreaser, All-Round Plastic Protectant, Foam Gun Prewash and Paint Protection Film (PPF).

14. Which law governs these PPF warranty terms?

These PPF Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of India, with jurisdiction in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, subject to applicable mandatory legal requirements.
